Would have loved to have had the 5D for these, but looking forward to seeing what I can do with it this year.  Still miss the Mk II though,

just no comparison between the two cameras.  One felt like holding a fine pre-’64 Winchester and the other feels like a Red Ryder

BB gun.  Or my dearly departed ’88 R100S and a Huffy Big Wheel.  Or my M3 and anything else : )

Last and not least is Krysty and Nyack together.  I love to see the emotion come out between parents and children and I consider it a privilege to be there with a camera.  It really is why I shoot, thanks for letting be a part of your lives.

Emil and Luca have reached their black belts and will soon move on to the Juniors class.  They went through their forms for Sensei Oliver, answered questions on Isshinryu karate and even got to break a board in front of the class.

The boys brought their new hats and the girls just brought their nice smiles.  The moms tried to stay away but I got them in for a few group shots.  One of the local tv stations was setting up a live broadcast at the garden but luckily they wrapped before I started shooting.  The rose garden is a popular location in town and you’ll always find a lot going on, from picnics and school groups to rose fanciers and those just looking for a quiet place to take in the scenery.

Thanks to Phil for the help working on the old sled.  I thought I’d buff and shine the new wheels before they got permanently encrusted with road grime.
