Taken in the summer of 2007, with the first rangefinder I picked up, the excellent little Canon QL17 GIII. This was my first or second roll and I was about as smooth with it as a 13 year old on a first date. But, I got this shot of my daughter 2 1/2 years ago that I’ve never seen until today.
I had developed the roll but never scanned it, mainly because I didn’t have a scanner then. I hadn’t really thought out the whole film workflow thing, I just jumped in and floundered away. So, the film sat developed but never seen, in the bottom of my closet for a good long while until I got around to it last week.
In this case, I think I actually made something worthwhile. And now that my next little girl is quickly getting closer to this age makes it all the more special.
