Thanks Matt, I’m learning to love the wides myself. They’re certainly useful in a utilitarian sense, but I’m finding that they can be used to great creative effect as well. I’ve got some more shots where I tried to bring in those massive beams across the ceiling, and of course the bridge over the golf course was a natural. I try not to interject to much camera talk around the pictures but it’s fun to talk a little gear : )

I am a big fan of the wide angle angle lenses, I have the Canon 10-22 on my 40d which should be about the same as the 16-35 on the full frame body. Good stuff!

I wasn’t going to say anything, BUT when I first saw this picture it brought tears to my eyes. It really touched me spiritually, as if there were an angel up there watching over Dennis and I. Just thought you would appreciate how much it truly touched me. Thanks so much.

Exactly, well put. Digital files _need_ to be processed to look right but film seems to be just the opposite. The less you mess with the negative as it was exposed, the better it usually looks.

I understand about that natural feel with film. With digital, I usually feel overly confident in my post skills. Terrible trait to have because sometimes it carries over to my film use and ends up with horrible exposures.
